Pininfarina, the Italian design house, has been tapping to design an all-electric pickup truck from the Detroit startup Hercules Electric Vehicles.

Founded in 2018, Hercules Electric Vehicles does plan to start producing the Alpha pickup in 2022. Not a well-known name, Breyer has a lot of experience in the automotive industry. It has worked as a lead propulsion development engineer for the Chevrolet Spark as well as a lead powertrain development engineer for the Chevrolet Volt.
Pininfarina is at top of Electric Mobility
“Pininfarina is at the forefront of electric mobility,” said senior vice president of sales & marketing at Pininfarina, Giuseppe Bonollo, said. “In fact, we will bring to this new venture together with a North American partner. Moreover, It is understood that the Hercules Alpha will be basing around the Nissan Titan but will use the company’s own powertrain technology and pump out as much as 1,000 hp.
